What We’ve Learned
This past year has been filled with challenges as we all have navigated through the uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic. At College Fresh, it has been our main goal to be flexible with our chapter and organizational partners during these unprecedented times. With this goal in mind, we approached Summer 2020 with the following questions:
- How can we provide the highest quality food service while more importantly keeping students and staff safe?
- How can we maintain financial responsibility for our partners even with expected membership decreases?
- What else can College Fresh do to help our chapter/university partners as we all navigate a school year amidst COVID-19 together?
As we are discovering the answers to these questions above, we thought it might be helpful to share what we have learned and implemented as our best practices, so far. Please feel free to check out our newly recorded – ‘What We’ve Learned’ – Fall 2020 webinar below. Access corresponding info packet here.
In the webinar, we discuss operational adjustments due to federal and local health department regulations, contractual flexibility for our partner organizations, and lessons learned in safety and sanitation.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us as we would be happy to discuss food service operations in the age of COVID-19.
COVID-19 Update
At College Fresh, we understand and share your concerns about the immediate future of Greek Life on campuses around the country. Like you, we are awaiting answers from universities as to what the learning and living environment will be for students in the Fall. There may be a lot of unknowns, but what we do know is that we are in this with you – for the long haul.
Our goal is to continue to offer you great, fresh food backed by the best service in the collegiate food service industry, even though meal service may look a little different for a while. We promise to continue to adhere to our strict safety and sanitation policies, implement modified service practices, and abide by the US Department of Health and local health departments’ guidelines to protect our staff and your members.
We’re committed to working with our client partners to develop flexible, creative, and affordable solutions during this time. As always, we are prepared to create a meal program that fits the exact needs at your specific chapter locations. It won’t be one size fits all. Some states, communities and campuses will have more stringent rules and requirements. One may allow Recruitment, one might push it back, another may offer only digital alternatives. The possibilities are endless.
While COVID-19 has presented many challenges, it has shown us how adaptable and innovative our Greek community is during uncertain times. It has also shown us how much we value and miss our partners and the members we serve. Please visit our COVID-19 Response page for updated information on our Virus Safety Plan, including; standards, policies, and procedures during this time.
We look forward to being At Your Service.
